Continued from Reading Lesson: Indian Life and Adventure
Delve into vocabulary with dictionary usage. This short lesson with its worksheet can be used as is if you need a quick and easy lesson plan. We also encourage you to expand on it as needed for your students by adding more dictionary words and your own vocabulary questions. (We got you started with five words: altitude, antagonist, antonym, anxious, and apparent.)
During the visit, Grandma and her grandchild are in the attic cleaning up. They find an old dictionary with some entries torn out. Students will read five entries and answer four vocabulary-based questions to start.
Teacher Tip: If you plan to have students play Making Camp Ojibwe, make sure you have their usernames and passwords set up.
