PII/FERPA

As a teacher, you are likely very familiar with student privacy issues, concerns, policies and laws. At 7 Generation Games, protecting student privacy and identity is paramount to us. As such, we do not collect any Personally Identifying Information (PII). As a result, our games are fully compliment with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

It is imperative each student have a unique login, both for data tracking purposes and assessment aspects. Additionally, the game uses the login to pick up on where the user left off. At the start of each game, a student will enter his/her login and password. A student can use the same login and password for each game.

In the interest of student privacy, we are track user data based on on the login, but we at no time will be able to identify who the user is. As a result, it is imperative that your site maintains a list of the user logins and student names. For example, if a student forgets his/her login ID, we have no way to match an individual user to a user name. On our end, we don't know which login the school assigned an individual student.
